From the title n yea its my final day of my holidays already
luckily i had submitted my report yesterday night what a relieve~
so continue for my baking journey cos holiday its ending so i have to grab my chance to bake if not once school start think i wont have much time to do it

i did a brownie on thurs
the result came out pretty good and it was an easy bake too... =) a little sweet so sugar wise can cut down a little



as for today i did some peach muffin =) peach is my favourite fruits esp the canned ones so how can i possibly miss out a recipe with calls for peach ...and it was my first time decorating the cuppies with frosting n peaches it was fun..the cakes was nice but i think that the sugar can oso be cutted down too !

i didnt bake today cos have to take a break from baking
if not i will piles of unfinished food =x so my project today was making char siew
i went to market in the morning with my dad to have breakfast with him afterwhich i proceed with my marketing to get some fresh pork =)
the char siew is for dinner tonite and i have to marinate it for at least 4 hrs but i omitted the red powder for it but the result was great ...it was a very easy dish n my family love it i think it is a healthier choice compare to the outside ones which they roasted got the 'chao tar' la (:

yesterday was my very first attempt in making the long - awaiting macaroons ..BUT its failed!!! i think i got the texture right jus tat it does not have the "feet" and the appearance is of kinda of ugly =x...anw i think im gonna drop this idea of making macaroons for now till then when i have more confident then i'll try it again...

hmm today is the start of my one week's holiday and i m really happy cos i got my oven to company but kinda of loss too cos i cant keep baking everyday rite ? if not whose gonna finish the baked stuff? ... aiyo i was tempted again since im bored at home and came across a choux pastry recipe which looked kind of simple so i tried it...whooray! the puff was very nicely puffed up but im having some problems with the filling cos i do not want to make the usual custard so i tried a chocolate filling but it turn out to be watery so now all m puff is naked hhaah.. can ony filled it when consumed but im so glad =)

it was my very first attempt making muffin n it was success ! actually i oso made some buttercream for the muffin too but the muffin was still hot for the icing so mayb i will put it later n upload the pictures again =) oh ya i made 2 flavours : chocolate n oreo

today was mushroom day! hmm wonder y i name it mushroom day? here's the reason cos i cooked 2 mushroom dishes today..haha
the first one is baked shitake cos i went giant n got one packet of shitake n since i got the oven so i made a baked dish..verdict : nice dish n super simple to make


as for supper , i made portabello with bacon. this dish i guess it quite healthy and for those who like the natural taste of the mushroom it's a mush try dish (:

Finally it's friday n good new my holidays is starting on monday although it may seem to be a short break of one week but i am really grateful that this break came...i have been studying non-stop due to the adpp n im so tired so studying but at least there is something for me to look forward to which is to bake~ whee~!!!
again i did not intend to bake tonite but ended i tried the chocolate lava cake which i came across online as it was too tempting but i failed it was quite dissappointing cos no lava~ omg!! how can a lava cake with no lava rite T_T i was kinda of sad n telling my parents tat i dun wan to bake anymore >.< -->> u see my final batch when i start to give up and anyhow bake to my surprise my cake got lava!!! whee~ im so glad and i think im gonna to make macaroons tmr and i hope that the result is good as from what i know many people failed even from many attempt so i must suceed =D
whoosh~ finally finishing the past 3 days ..happy hoildays to me !!!!

actually im not suppose to bake today as i am having UT tmr and i haven studied for it =x but anyway its so tempting as i came across a blog and the recipe is so simple so i cannot resist the temptation to try it out
so as the title says its my first attempt baking cake the result was not really good as i did not have any muffin tins and i use the case so it was kinda of messy but the taste wise was quite alrite..* can see that the mini cupcake are out of shape* there is some brown muffins as i modify the recipes by adding coca powder to my surprise to coca muffins tasted better as there is more choc chips but i guess i was quite fun =)

first , fry the egg till its cooked. then add in water (be careful as they may spill), add in mushrooms and mee sua cooked till mee sua is cooked. season with salt , pepper n sesame oil.

since im home today i also prepared for dinner was my FIRST attempt in cooking the chicken at the picutre below it turn out really well ^^ and also i prepared cauliflower with prawns ..





the dinner was perfect! oh ya during lunchtime my sis insisted of having pancakes , previously we tried this better crocker pancake mix it came out to be realy fluffy and nice and its was really easy to make by just adding water so we when to get a few more to "in-stock " at home when a quick snack was wanted..(if interested do try them as they are really nice thou)

today was a happy day..haha
in the morning i went for breakfast with my mum n sis at mac (but was nearly late for school =x)
so the lesson today was genetics cos previous lesson was a little challenging so i kinda of afraid that what type of lesson i will have today. surprisingly it was pretty easy and i manage to complete everything by myself =D went for a wonderful lunch and everything was great!
came home but did not prepare dinner tonite cos i ran out of ideas of wat to cook and im kinda of lazy too ... n of course its cookie making day so i guess i so happy xD but i have to wait for my sis to come back from her tuition as she wanted to do it together..who knows i fell asleep * guess was too tired* but manage to woke up by 8p.m luckily not too late...
so here comes the cookies the recipe is from a online blog :

i guess it is pretty good for a first timer (: but its a lil too sweet for me so next time i have to reduce the sugar? and this batch is quite a lot so i can halve the recipe. btw i manage to finish baking by 11pm =x so late huh but its okay its friday ma =D

as you can see from the title itself school is such a long day for me...maybe it is due to the adaptor of my lappy is faulty again >.< tomato soup with egg garlic bread cos the pasta didnt look enough for the whole family but in the end its was just nice =)

nowadays i try to cook as eating out is unhealthy and expensive and i love home cooked food...more importantly i love to cook..haha but for the dish today i didnt take pictures cos i couldnt find the camera though =x ...so glad that im going to bake cookies tmr whee~

scallops (marinate with wine and black pepper)

first , cook the pasta and drain. then fry the onions follow by scallops , add milk and stir till bubbles appear at the side but not boiling ( as previously i came across a webby stating that if boil too long it will not thicken). then add in the pasta and cheese till desired.

ps: im not a really good cook so the quantity can be self adjusted as i cook by agarations (:

today is the opening of my blog and everything went pretty well..in terms of the dinner that i prepared it was nice..today's menu lotus root soup and apsargus with prawns for my family i do not really have to cook a lot of dishes as we cant finish them =x but the soup today was quite a big pot as previously i attempt to cook this soup it was not nice at all but today it was yummy so im realliy happy =) haha *since i have this blog so i have to learn to take pictures as usually i do not have this practice...the picture for the dinner tonite will be uploaded really soon*
everything was eaten up and the fruits which was the china melon bought from giant was really sweet and juicy ^^
verdict for the dinner tonite : delicious whhee~

Ho Ho Ho~ hello im the owner of this blog...this also marks the beginning of this blog which mean opening cermony *party popers**clap claps* haha ...
ok a short introduction about me im a currently a final yr student at republic poly course of study :pharmacetuical science, DOB :31/12/1988 ps i love present hehe

anw i love cooking i have been cooking since im in sec 3 so i am the 'house' cook when i started to cook my mum have to guide me along although she is not a very good cook but still it is edible haha ...so all along till now i have been cooking for my family but sometime chef nid a break ya ? then my mum will take over me but for a period of time we ate out almost everyday but will still get tired of the food outside as nothing is better compared t o home cook food =D
so recently i happen to chance upon some of the food blogs * think when i was looking how to make cupcakes n macaroons* when surfing the different blogs a sudden movitation come upon to me and this baking craze but the sad thing is i do not have a oven *sads*.
but i was so glad that yesterday *14/10* daddy bought me a oven thou it was small but i guess i shd very happy as some people want something but the parents cant even afford them whereas for me my parents can buy it for me...thks daddy im really happy to get the oven =)
as for this blog, i wanted post the food that i had prepared but through thinking i guess cook n life is the same..my wish now is that i will be able to make macaroons ^^
